I can't understand a word you wrote.

What if the world really did have free--or nearly free--energy?

This, apparently is not a hoax:

It's a hoax. It's always a hoax. You cannot violate the laws for the conservation of energy. He's either a scammer or incredibly naive. Sad but true. Perpetual motion machines and their ilk have never and will never work, because their existence violates a fundamental constant that has stood up to rigorous testing of every kind (including more potential perpetual motion machines than I can count, Steorn included), and essentially underpins the most basic understanding of the laws of physics.

Essentially, because people think your idea is crazy, does not mean you're the next Galileo.

What are you talking about? Every machine is idealistically a perpetual motion machine! It's just all that damn friction and conversion of energy to light and sound that runs the system down.

Energy is a constant for our purposes, so as long as you've got a closed system, you ain't haemorrhaging any to the outside world so you're set to go.

Maybe this dude has created a machine that leaks negligible energy, so it wouldn't run down for a long time. Good luck adapting it to a car or a ceiling fan, however. Oh, and good luck obtaining a blessing from oil companies.

Why oh why are we talking about perpetual motion machines on my blog?
