I think Jill Jones has highlighted just one of the problems with the recent recommendation from the Productivity Commission to lift restrictions on parallel importation of books into Australia.
I don't know, surely anyone with an interest in these matters would be well aware that 'consumables' and 'consumption' are common words when discussing matters in economic terms?
Besides, I know two cats who wouldn't be quite happy to interpret the phrase 'consumption of literature' in a completely non-metaphorical, non-economics-specific manners.
But why would one want to discuss things in economic terms? Boring.
