I don't know, surely anyone with an interest in these matters would be well aware that 'consumables' and 'consumption' are common words when discussing matters in economic terms?

Besides, I know two cats who wouldn't be quite happy to interpret the phrase 'consumption of literature' in a completely non-metaphorical, non-economics-specific manners.

But why would one want to discuss things in economic terms? Boring.

There is a cat over here that shares certain tastes with Harriet and Beatrice though as she ages she prefers to sleep on rather than consume her literature.
