You think its cold now do you Sunboy?

Dale Slamma left this morning on a secret mission to The Australian Antarctic Division. Dale wishes to advise you that she packed warm socks, a harpoon and three muesli bars. Dale will return in time to make pies for Pie Day.

Good golly! I don't know if three muesli bars will be enough. I'm a couple of degrees north of the Pole myself, and managed to plough through the better part of an entire biscuit batch today.

Making casserole now. Drastic measures are necessary.

has my computer gone spaz or is your blog all weird?
Very relieved to hear about the casserole. Tofu stroganoff, I say.

Wait, you have a pie day? I so need to have a pie day.
DS said…
Gem,

What do you mean by spazzy?

Tofu stoganoff sound bad, mainly because of the stroganoff.

It is very important to have a pie day.

I have a pi day. Nothing could be more important than recalling everything that integer (which, when multiplied by three and the radius of a circle will give the circumference of that same circle) has done for us.
DS said…
It gave us a way to measure pies.

Hate to sound like a math nerd but isn't the circumference of a circle two times the radius times pi?

Mmmm... pi.

spazzy as in there is only one post per page. this is disastrous for someone with an intolerably slow internet connection. each click is like a thousand years.

Ahoy there Antarctic Division, I just posted a pro-winter post, I must mad (said like Rick from Young Ones) ...

;) xox Rups

Dunno Creamy, I was just trying to post a half-remembered formula from maths. Check out the equations on Pi's wikipedia page! Who knows what they mean, but check them out anyway!

I need a better heater but I do like winter better than summer. Summer is stinky.

The one post per page is deliberate. I am having a little holiday from blog posts, mainly due to being on a boat headed to The Australian Antarctic Division. Normal blogging will resume around pie day when I'm back from my imaginary Antarctic mission.

More mathematical mayhem: I'm fairly certain that pi is not an integer. Arguably integral, but not actually an integer.

Superman,

Robert informs me that you are correct. Pi is not an integer. It has also occurred to me that sometime next year Ronita will turn Pi, soon after her third birthday.

I will make a pie and wear a party hat on Ronita's pi day. This is my long term plan.

that is an excellent thing! ronita will turn pi! when this occurs will you make it a facebook event so that i can cheers ronita's pi day? it may even be a precise minute. boy will you have fun figuring out which one. boyoboyoboy.
DS said…
Ron has figured it out for me. I will make the event now.
DS said…
I can't do it. Fspazbook won't let me create an event for next year. I'll do it next year. It will be a brilliant thing, its not every day a child turns pi.
